been around alot longer than 8 years.
I joined when the old forum started in septemberish 2001 and the club had been around before that in various forms. Wheres Holger and cryohost these days?
I think SST were about in 2000 and I am pretty sure SSC was about before that in various forms so I will take a stab at about 1998/99
Havent seen Mark in person for just over a year now either.

I hope cyrohost has dissapeared into the realms of nothingness it deserves!
As said really, kicked off as a yahoo group, then the old forum, then onto what we have now.

i must have joined quite a while before i got my vtr then. i joined the forum when it started and had been a member of the newsgroup for a little while before that. must have been 9 or 10 years ago then, not 8

The club was originally started by Mark as something completely different, him and a mate wanted to show there cars at Donnington I think and they needed to go in as a club, so they made one up and it went from there
I asked Mark the question back at the Christmas bash in 2008, though it was about 3 in the morning, we were on the spirits and I'd smashed by self to pieces falling down some stairs.
In short, I may be talking bollocks, not Fact

It all started in 1998-99, as a small club called fusion... thats where i mat mark buckle.
mid 98 saxosports tuning started up and had close friends with Mark and a couple others early 99-00 saxosports club started mark buckle and gary stone been co founders. there were the likes of Gav strong, chris Paul, Chris pearson, John Taite etc etc.. in the original club and then the forum stated. i packed in in 02 i think it was and stared getting back into the scene about 2 years ago now. Who was the guy that had the original SST saxo? The posi blue one with the wide arches, 17s, nos, tuned to fook etc? I remember its feature in Revs magazine back in 98/99 and thought that car was the absolute dogs ballocks!

Such as shame the Yorkshire section went the way this club appears to be going now.

was it Simos?
Im pretty sure he had some work done by SST, and had a blue widish arched saxo. Don't know about the nitrous though. I think Chris pearson also had a blue saxo, but not sure on the mods. Dave Jones had a wide arched saxo with 17's and Nos, but that was black/metal flake, and I think his was magazine featured about 2002ish.
